Kerry Gumas led the founding of Questex in 2005 via a management buyout and since inception has served as President & CEO. Prior to founding Questex, he held senior executive positions at Advanstar, IDG and Reed Exhibitions in Europe, Asia and the U.S. He began his career as an trade specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce responsible for China trade promotion activities and continues to be a strong advocate for international trade and investment. He is a board member of industry associations, including ABM/SIIA and is a past president and board member of SISO and SACEOS. He is an alumnus of American University and Widener University where he also serves on the advisory board of the School of Hospitality Management.
Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer
Mr. Kurtz is Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer of Questex where he oversees digital strategy, product development and technology operations. Mr. Kurtz has over 25 years of experience in technology. Prior to joining Questex, Mr. Kurtz served as Vice President of Product Development at Gannett/USA TODAY where he was responsible for all mobile and web product development. Prior to USA TODAY, Mr. Kurtz served as President and CEO of CavaSoft, Inc., a software consultancy specializing in hospitality and government technology solutions. Mr. Kurtz holds a bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.

Iain Tonna has over 20 years of experience in the meetings and events industry and currently serves as President of the Questex-McLean Events division, the leading international producer of One-to-One Appointment events for the spa, fitness, hotel and travel industries. He joined McLean Events International, now trading as Questex-McLean Events, as its Director of Operations in 2000 and served as the company's VP Operations prior to the company's acquisition by Questex in 2007 and then as VP & COO until 2013, when he was appointed President. Alexi Khajavi is Executive Vice President of Questex Hospitality and Head of Destination Develop Investment Services. He is responsible for the overall management and development of the company's global hospitality and destination communications properties and events including the Hotel Management Group, the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) Summit Series, Destination Develop and Destination Development Investment Services, HOTEC Operations & Technology and other destination and hotel investment events in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Khajavi, who brings more than 17 years of travel, hospitality and publications experience to his position, joined Questex in 2014 as senior managing director of Destination Develop, a new digital media platform covering global tourism industry investment opportunities at the destination level, and Destination Develop Investment Services, an in-house agency that develops marketing and matchmaking campaigns and services for destinations and private-sector businesses in tourism looking for investment. Prior to joining Questex, Khajavi was senior vice president, global strategy, for MercuryCSC, a marketing agency specializing in the travel industry where he helped grow the firm's billings four-fold and designed global marketing campaigns for travel companies, tourism boards and airlines. Prior to MercuryCSC, he was one of the founding team members of a regional airline located in Central America and helped guide the airline in being the fastest growing travel company in the region between 2003 and 2010. Concurrent with his Questex duties, Khajavi is senior business advisor at the Center for Health and the Global Environment at the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston; advisor board member at KERBspace Inc., a location-based sales and publishing platform; founder & president of Adventure Kapitalist, a venture capital firm; director on the executive board of Sustainable Travel International, Washington; and director on the board of governors of Nature Group, an airline and hotel management company based in Costa Rica.
Jack Fordi is responsible for the expansion of the FierceMarkets division of Questex sales department’s infrastructure, driving revenue growth, and improving the overall quality of service delivered to B2B marketers in targeted industry verticals. He also oversees the Life Science and Healthcare industry group. Jack brings more than 15 years of executive sales/business development leadership experience in both traditional and interactive media. He spent seven years as Vice President of Sales and Sales Ops for SmartBrief, Inc., an online media firm providing vertical news services to 3 million+ individual business readers with 1200+ advertisers. Prior to SmartBrief, he served as Sales Director with a division of Gannett Co., Inc. and previously, he was Vice President of Sales with Intralinks in New York City, a technology provider of inter-enterprise collaboration solutions serving investment banks and the fortune 500. He began his career with Phillips Business Information, (now Access Intelligence). Jack earned a BS in Business Administration and Economics from Elon University. He lives in DC with his wife and two small children.

Rebecca (Friend) Willumson is the publisher of the FierceMarkets' Life Sciences series of publications and events overseeing the editorial, operations, sales and event functions of the group. She joined the Life Sciences group at the beginning of 2012 as associate publisher with a specific focus on the pharma industry. Since joining the group, she has contributed to expanding the team's news coverage by launching the group's 11th publication, FierceDiagnostics. She's also brought on new editors, streamlined operational processes and led the group to achieve significant growth in audience, revenue and customer loyalty. Prior to joining the Life Sciences group, she led FierceMarkets' ad operations department as the head of the marketing solutions team from 2010-2012.
